Tabitha’s Way relies heavily on food donated by individuals, families, businesses, churches, schools, and other community organizations. Useful canned donations can include:
- Canned meats: Tuna, chicken, salmon, and similar proteins
- Canned beans: Black beans, pinto beans, lentils, and other varieties
- Canned vegetables: A variety of vegetables, with lower-sodium options especially helpful
- Canned fruit: Particularly fruit packed in water or 100% juice
- Canned meals: Soups, chili, stew, and similar shelf-stable meals
Donated items should be unopened, have a nutritional label, and be in good condition. Tabitha’s Way asks that donated packaged foods not be more than two years past their expiration date. For Triple-T’s service discount, simply donate four canned goods!
